Well, we finally did it. My husband I took our one year olds to Yellowstone 8 years ago and we all loved it and wanted to come back soon. It took 8 years to make it happen, but we finally got our Yellowstone vacation. We made the reservations a year before our trip so the children were excited for a really long time and I was worried they would be disappointed. Luckily, we weren’t. They liked pretty much everything and want to go back soon. Whenever we ask them what their favorite part was, they all say “EVERYTHING!”
I don’t want to go back during the peak season. It was way too crowded for me and I was NOT impressed by the food options. They are definitely not Paleo or fresh. I was really glad we brought along a bunch of our own food so we didn’t have to rely on them for healthy food options. I discovered that my children have become food snobs, which I am proud of. They do not like processed, “fake” food for the most part anymore. We were all missing good home cooked meals. We stayed in the Canyons area for the first two nights and below are some of my favorite pictures from that area. Here is the post about the Old Faithful area.
I thought I better throw in a few images of the Canyon area without our family in them –
